Founded in Atlanta in 2011, Salesloft merged with Clari and now sells sales engagement, conversation intelligence and Clari Forecast as one revenue orchestration platform. It adds AI research agents and an MCP server that connects live pipeline data to assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT, and it is sold by quote only.
About Salesloft
Salesloft is a revenue orchestration platform that began in Atlanta. Kyle Porter founded it in 2011, Vista Equity Partners made a growth investment in December 2021 at a reported $2.3 billion valuation, and on December 3, 2025 it completed a merger with Clari, the forecasting and revenue intelligence vendor, with Steve Cox as CEO. On September 2, 2026 the two brands became one: Salesloft is now the company and platform name, and only Clari Forecast keeps the Clari name. Drift, which it also owns, keeps a separate login.
The platform splits into two groups of modules. Account teams get Cadence for multichannel outreach with a built-in dialer and a mobile app, Conversation Intelligence, Deals, and Rhythm, which ranks buyer signals into a daily task list. Revenue leaders get Clari Forecast, Inspect for pipeline risk, Revenue Cadences for structured pipeline reviews and forecast calls, and Analytics. Over both sits a set of AI agents for account research, person research and buyer identification, plus an MCP server that lets MCP-compatible AI apps such as Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot pull live pipeline, deal, account and call context.
Salesloft works as a layer on top of a CRM, not a replacement for one. G2 lists it as a Salesforce AppExchange app and shows verified integrations with HubSpot Sales Hub, Google Workspace and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and its buyer identification agent integrates with ZoomInfo. That makes it a fit for teams that keep Salesforce or HubSpot as the system of record and want outreach, call analysis and forecasting from one vendor. On HokAI the nearest rival is Gong, a product that leads with conversation analysis, and Apollo bundles a contact database with sequences at published per-seat prices. For outbound-only teams on a tighter budget, Lemlist and Instantly cover cold email and Clay covers data enrichment. Outreach is another sales engagement platform on HokAI, Reply.io and Smartlead sell sequencing, and Amplemarket and Unify add AI prospecting. HokAI's guides to the neighbouring categories cover the AI SDR field, the AI sales assistant question and the call and meeting recorders.
It is sold through sales conversations, so there is no self-serve signup and no public price list; the cost section and the FAQ cover what third-party buyer data shows. On security, the vendor's own page lists SOC 2 Type 2 examinations, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701, hosting on AWS and Google Cloud in the US and EU, and a data processing addendum with Standard Contractual Clauses. The weaknesses list covers an earlier security incident that buyers should read before signing. The wider sales and revenue group has more vendors to weigh against it, and the full set sits one click away at the sales and revenue group.
Pricing
Salesloft publishes no price list. Its pricing URL redirects to a Talk to Sales form, and quotes are custom by seat count, modules and contract term. Vendr, a software buying platform, reports a median buyer pays $30,740 a year across 710 purchases, within a range of $5,152 to $146,494, with buyers saving 18% on average.
Treat that as a negotiating benchmark, not a list price, and ask for module-level pricing in writing: Cadence, Conversation Intelligence, Deals, Rhythm and Clari Forecast are named as separate modules on the platform page. For a rival that also sells by custom contract, compare Gong.
Key Features
- Cadence: Runs multichannel outreach sequences across email, phone and social steps, with templates, snippets, a built-in dialer for calls and texts, and a mobile app for working steps away from a desk.
- Rhythm: Collects buyer signals from across the tech stack and turns them into a prioritized daily workflow, so a rep sees what to do next and the reason behind it.
- Clari Forecast: Combines AI with deal data to flag slipping deals and risk by segment weeks before quarter end, according to the vendor.
- Conversation Intelligence: Records, transcribes and analyzes sales calls, then produces call summaries, follow-up email drafts, CRM updates and real-time battlecards during the call.
- AI agents: Account Research, Person Research and Buyer Identification agents gather context and suggest stakeholders to add to outreach, and Buyer Identification integrates with ZoomInfo.
- Revenue Cadences: Gives pipeline reviews, forecast calls, QBRs and 1:1s a fixed structure, so each meeting runs from live revenue data on a repeatable schedule.
- MCP server: Gives MCP-compatible AI apps, including Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot, context from live pipeline, deal, account and call data.
Pros
- On G2 its review base is larger than Gong's 6,774 or Outreach's 3,671 reviews, so the average rests on a bigger sample than either rival.
- One vendor now sells outreach, call analysis and forecasting after the Clari merger, which removes the usual handoff between an engagement tool and a separate forecasting vendor.
- Security controls are documented on the vendor's own page: SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701, with US and EU hosting.
- Layers on top of an existing CRM, so the system of record can stay in Salesforce or HubSpot while the team adds engagement and forecasting.
Cons
- No public pricing: the pricing URL redirects to a sales form, so a buyer cannot size the cost before a call.
- Google's threat intelligence group tracked a campaign running from as early as August 8 through at least August 18, 2025 that used stolen OAuth tokens from Salesloft's Drift product to export data from customers' Salesforce instances; Salesloft revoked the Drift tokens on August 20, 2025, and later findings widened the advice to treat all tokens connected to Drift as compromised.
- G2 reviewers report an average of 2 months to implement and 11 months to return on investment, which makes it a poor fit for a team that needs results inside a quarter.
- The homepage still lists five separate logins (Salesloft, Clari Forecast, Conversations, Drift and Groove), so users may still sign in to more than one product.
Data Handling
- Training-data policy
- The vendor states it uses private AI models and that customer data is never used to train models for other customers.
- Compliance
- SOC 2 Type 2 · ISO 27001 · ISO 27701 · GDPR · CCPA/CPRA
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Salesloft actually cost?
Salesloft does not publish plans: its pricing address lands on a sales contact page, and each quote depends on seats, modules and contract length. Vendr reports a median of $30,740 a year over 710 purchases, with individual contracts running from $5,152 up to $146,494, and an 18% average saving against the opening quote. Vendr's per-seat breakdown uses Essentials, Advanced and Premier tiers that do not appear on the Salesloft platform pages HokAI reviewed, so treat tier-level figures with caution.
Can you use Salesloft without paying?
No. Salesloft does not advertise a free plan or a self-serve trial, and the calls to action across its site are Talk to Sales and Book 15 Minutes. A team that wants to test sequencing without a contract can start on the free plan of [Apollo](/hub/tools/apollo) instead.
What are Salesloft's closest competitors?
Gong is the closest rival when call analysis and forecasting drive the purchase. Apollo combines a contact database with sequences and lists its seat prices, and HubSpot suits smaller teams that would rather run the CRM and sales tools in one product. ZoomInfo is the data layer many teams pair with an engagement tool rather than a replacement for one.
Is Salesloft better than Gong?
Neither wins across the board. Pick Salesloft when the job starts before the call: multichannel cadences, a dialer, a buyer identification agent for pipeline creation, and Clari Forecast for leaders. Pick Gong when recorded conversations and deal analysis are the main reason to buy; its HokAI record lists custom annual contracts with a platform fee and separate forecast and engage add-ons. Both are well reviewed on G2, so the deciding factor is workflow, not quality.
What does it take to start using Salesloft?
You cannot sign up on your own, so the first step is a demo request through Talk to Sales. Confirm CRM coverage before that call, because Salesloft sits on top of Salesforce or HubSpot rather than replacing either. Averages from G2 reviewers put implementation at about 2 months, so schedule the rollout ahead of a quarter, not inside one.
Top Alternatives
- Gong: Pick Gong if call analysis and deal forecasting are the reason to buy; pick Salesloft if outbound cadences and pipeline creation matter as much as call review.
- Apollo.io: Pick Apollo if you want published per-seat prices and a built-in contact database; pick Salesloft if you need enterprise forecasting and a negotiated contract.
- HubSpot: Pick HubSpot if you want a free CRM with sales tools in one product; pick Salesloft when Salesforce or HubSpot is already your system of record and you need an engagement layer on top.
- Outreach: Pick Outreach if you want per-user seats plus AI credits with an MCP server and client in every package; pick Salesloft if Clari Forecast, which the company calls established in enterprise forecasting, is the draw.
- ZoomInfo: Pick ZoomInfo for contact data and buying signals; pick Salesloft to run the outreach on top of that data, since its buyer identification agent integrates with ZoomInfo.
