Viggle AI Alternatives in 2026: Free, Open-Source and No-Watermark Options
The main Viggle AI alternatives in 2026 are Wan2.2-Animate, an Apache 2.0 open-source model that animates or swaps characters on your own computer; DomoAI, a hosted character-to-video app from $9 a month on yearly billing; and Runway Act-Two, which transfers a recorded performance onto a character.
The short version
If the watermark is your only complaint, Viggle Pro at $7.99 a month on yearly billing is still the cheapest fix. For free and unlimited use, run the open-source Wan2.2-Animate on your own GPU. DomoAI is the closest hosted replacement, and Runway Act-Two suits acting rather than dancing.
Want this decided for your own case? Find your tools with Smart Match, starting from this guide's question.
Viggle's free plan gives you five videos a day, one at a time, with a watermark and seven days of storage, according to its pricing page on 28 October 2026. Those limits explain the search. Google's autocomplete for "viggle ai alternative" fills in with "no watermark", "open source" and "github".
Most people searching for a replacement want one of three things: no watermark without paying, a tool that runs on their own computer, or longer and cleaner character animation than Viggle's paid tiers give them. Each of those has a different best answer. If you make dance memes, character swaps or animated mascots, the right switch depends on which limit is actually annoying you.
What Viggle does, and what it costs
Viggle animates a still character with someone else's movement. You give it a picture of a character and a video of a person moving, and it either makes the character perform that motion or swaps the character into the original clip. Its own pricing page sums up the job as swapping characters into video, one at a time, many at once, or live.
Its pricing page lists four plans. Prices drop by 20% on yearly billing:
| Plan | Monthly price | Yearly price | Credits a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 5 free videos a day |
| Pro | $9.99 | $7.99 | 80 |
| Live | $19.99 | $15.99 | 200 |
| Max | $79.99 | $63.99 | 800 |
The paid plans remove the watermark, keep your assets permanently and raise the maximum motion-video upload from one minute to ten. They also run more generations at once: four on Pro, six on Live and ten on Max.
Two details matter for anyone deciding whether to leave. Monthly plan credits expire on your billing date. And Viggle now runs third-party models too: its page lists Seedance, Kling, Veo, Wan and others, with Seedance reserved for Live and Max. Part of what you pay Viggle for is access to models you could reach directly.
How to choose a Viggle alternative
Start from the limit that sent you looking. Five questions narrow it fast.
- Is the watermark the only problem? Then the cheapest paid plan anywhere, including Viggle's own, may be the answer rather than a new tool.
- Do you have a strong graphics card? If yes, an open-source model on your own machine removes watermarks, credit limits and uploads entirely.
- Do you need a swap or a performance? Swapping a character into an existing clip and making a still character copy a dance are different modes, and not every tool does both.
- How long are your clips? Viggle-style tools typically cap single generations at a few seconds to half a minute. Check the cap before you buy.
- Will you upload real people? A face that is not yours needs that person's consent, whichever tool you use.
If none of those settle it, describe the clip you want in Smart Match and it will rank video tools from the directory against your requirements.
The shortlist at a glance
We read each vendor's own pricing or documentation on 28 October 2026.
| Alternative | Best for | Entry cost | Runs locally |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wan2.2-Animate | Free, open-source, no limits | Free (your hardware) | Yes |
| DomoAI | Viggle-style character video | $9/mo yearly | No |
| Runway Act-Two | Acting performances, not dances | $12/mo yearly | No |
| Kling | Raw image-to-video quality | Not verified | No |
| Viggle Pro | Staying, minus the watermark | $7.99/mo yearly | No |
How we would pick:
- You want free and have a GPU: Wan2.2-Animate. It does both of Viggle's core jobs and is open source.
- You want the closest hosted replacement: DomoAI, which has a dedicated character-to-video mode and unlimited relaxed generations from its Standard plan.
- You want a character to act, not dance: Runway's Act-Two, driven by a performance video of you.
- You only hate the watermark: stay on Viggle and pay for Pro.
Wan2.2-Animate: the open-source Viggle alternative
Alibaba's Wan team released Wan2.2-Animate-14B on 19 September 2025, according to its model card on Hugging Face. It is a single model for character animation and character replacement, which are Viggle's two core jobs.
It has two modes. In animation mode, your character image copies the human motion in a reference video. In replacement mode, your character replaces the person inside that video. Those map directly onto Viggle's move and swap features.
The model is released under the Apache 2.0 licence, and the card states that the developers claim no rights over your generated content. There is no watermark, no daily cap and no upload limit, because nothing leaves your machine.
The cost is hardware and setup, and it is not small: a 14-billion-parameter video model wants a recent graphics card with a lot of memory, a working Python or ComfyUI install, and patience while each clip renders on home hardware, which is a fair trade for unlimited free output but a poor one if you post a single meme a week. It is a 14-billion-parameter model, and the repository ships multi-GPU inference code alongside a ComfyUI integration. Download it with one command:
huggingface-cli download Wan-AI/Wan2.2-Animate-14B --local-dir ./Wan2.2-Animate-14B
If you have never run a video model locally, start with our guide to running AI locally, which covers the apps and the graphics cards that make this practical. The card also notes you can try Animate in the browser on the Wan website before installing anything.
Alibaba's Tongyi Lab has since published research on a successor, Wan-Animate-2, which adds multi-character animation. Its project page describes a dual-branch model conditioned on a reference image and a reference video. Watch it if you animate groups. The broader Wan 3.0 family is listed on HokAI too.
DomoAI: the closest hosted replacement
DomoAI is not yet in the HokAI directory, but it is the hosted tool that most directly copies Viggle's job. Its pricing page lists a Character to Video mode on every paid plan, plus talking avatars and 50-plus style templates.
| Plan | Yearly billing | Monthly billing | What changes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $9/mo | $13/mo | 600 credits, 5s and 10s character video |
| Standard | $29/mo | $42/mo | Unlimited Relax generations |
| Pro | $99/mo | $142/mo | 20s and 30s character video |
Every paid plan is watermark-free. The Basic plan works out at $0.015 a credit, which DomoAI says is roughly 85 videos.
The interesting plan is Standard. "Unlimited Relax generations on supported models" means slower queues but no credit count on DomoAI's own models. For a meme account that posts daily, that removes the credit anxiety that drives people off Viggle.
The catch: Seedance and MiniMax models run in Fast mode only. They still spend credits.
Runway Act-Two: when your character needs to act
Runway's Act-Two is a different tool for a related job. You record yourself performing a scene, give it a character image or video, and it transfers your movement, gestures and expression to the character.
According to Runway's help centre, Act-Two needs a Standard plan or higher. It costs 5 credits a second with a three-second minimum, and clips run up to 30 seconds. With an image as the character, a gesture-control setting lets your hands and body drive the result, and Act-Two adds some background motion automatically.
Runway's Standard plan costs $15 a month, or $12 billed yearly, for 625 credits a month. At 5 credits a second, that is about two minutes of Act-Two a month if you spend nothing else. The free tier gives 125 one-time credits but does not include Act-Two.
Pick Act-Two for dialogue, reactions and short skits. Not dances. For dance memes, a Viggle-style tool is faster.
Kling: going direct to the model Viggle uses
Viggle lists Kling among the models it runs. If you mostly use Viggle for image-to-video rather than swaps, going straight to Kling cuts out a layer. Kuaishou, the company behind it, now promotes Kling 4.0 on its homepage, and HokAI tracks the Kling 3.0 model in detail.
We could not read Kling's current plan prices: its pricing page redirected to the homepage in both browsers we use. Check its HokAI record for the last prices we verified, and the vendor page before you buy.
Model hubs such as AnyVids and Loova AI bundle Seedance, Veo and Kling behind one credit balance, which suits anyone who wants several models without several subscriptions. The same logic applies to the other models in Viggle's list. Seedance 2.5 and Veo 3.1 are both available elsewhere, and our guide to where you can use Seedance for free maps the options.
One-tap dance and meme apps
Plenty of people use Viggle for one thing: dropping a face into a trending dance. A cluster of single-purpose apps now does exactly that, with no motion video to film and no settings to learn. They trade flexibility for speed. Each one is built around a fixed template.
- Effect Farm lets you pick a dance, pet or scene effect, upload one picture and get a clip back in the browser.
- No Scrubs AI puts your face into one specific trio dance, sound included, sold as credit packs.
- Tinydesk swaps you and up to four friends into a fixed concert clip from selfies.
- Hotel Lobby AI turns two photos into a short duet rap video from a set of templates.
- ZombieTrend turns two photos into a vertical zombie love-story clip with sound.
If your whole use of Viggle is one trend at a time, one of these is simpler. If you make your own motion clips, they are too narrow. Pick by habit.
Viggle's 3D side: PINOC and what replaces it
Viggle also sells PINOC, billed separately from Viggle AI, from $10.39 a month. It builds rigged 3D characters from photos and exports motion as FBX or GLB files, the formats game engines and 3D apps import.
That is a different market from meme videos. The closest alternative in the directory is Krikey AI, a browser 3D animation maker that turns scripts into talking avatars and video into motion capture, with a free plan. Animators who need studio-grade capture should compare both against a dedicated motion-capture tool before committing.
How to film a reference video that animates cleanly
Every tool on this page copies motion from a video you supply, and most failures start there. Six habits fix the majority of broken hands and melting feet:
- Film the whole body, head to feet, with space around it. Cropped limbs get invented.
- Use one person. A second body in frame confuses single-character models.
- Keep the camera still. A tripod or a propped phone beats a handheld shot.
- Wear fitted clothes that contrast with the wall. Loose sleeves blur the arm the model is trying to track.
- Match the pose. If your character image shows a standing figure facing the camera, start the video the same way.
- Keep it short. Five clean seconds animate better than thirty messy ones, and cost less on any credit plan.
Then test on the free tier of whatever you use. It costs nothing to find out.
What each option costs for 30 short clips a month
Here is a rough monthly bill for someone posting one short character clip a day.
| Option | Plan | Monthly cost | Watermark |
|---|---|---|---|
| Viggle Free | Free | $0 | Yes |
| Viggle Pro | Yearly | $7.99 | No |
| DomoAI Basic | Yearly | $9 | No |
| Runway Standard | Yearly | $12 | No |
| Wan2.2-Animate | Local | $0 plus electricity | No |
Viggle's free plan technically covers 30 clips, at five a day, but every one carries a watermark and is deleted after seven days. Viggle prices credits per feature and model, so how far 80 Pro credits stretch depends on what you make. Runway's figure assumes 30 clips of about four seconds, which uses roughly 600 of its 625 credits.
The cheapest no-watermark option you do not run yourself is Viggle Pro on yearly billing. That is the honest finding. Surprising, too. Switching tools to save money mostly does not work here.
Privacy: where your face and video data go
Character tools need two sensitive inputs: a picture of a character, often a real person, and a video of someone moving, often you.
- Hosted tools keep copies. Viggle's paid plans advertise permanent asset storage and the free plan seven days. Decide whether you want that before uploading a friend's face.
- Local models keep nothing. Wan2.2-Animate runs on your machine, so the photo and the video never leave it.
- Consent is your job. Animating a real person who has not agreed can break platform rules and, in some places, the law. No tool on this list checks for you.
We did not review each vendor's privacy policy for this guide. If you upload other people's images regularly, read the terms of the tool you pick before you commit.
Who should skip a Viggle alternative
The case for staying on Viggle is better than the search volume suggests.
It is cheap. Really cheap. Pro costs less than any hosted alternative here, removes the watermark and runs four jobs at once. It also has features the alternatives lack: Real-Time Swap for live streams, multi-character sessions and, through PINOC, rigged 3D characters you can export as FBX or GLB files. If you stream or make game assets, nothing on this list replaces that set.
And it already routes to Kling, Veo, Wan and Seedance, so a Live or Max subscriber is effectively paying one bill for several of the models that the alternatives on this page are built on, with Viggle's own character tools layered on top of them. Leaving Viggle to use one of those models directly saves money only if you use a lot of one model.
Our answer: stay if the watermark was the only problem, and pay for Pro. Leave for Wan2.2-Animate if you have the hardware and want no limits at all, or for DomoAI if you want unlimited relaxed generations. Those are the only two switches that clearly beat Viggle on its own ground.
A ten-minute test before you switch
Run the same clip through two tools before paying for either:
- Pick one character image and one five-second dance or gesture clip you have the rights to.
- Run it on Viggle's free plan as your baseline.
- Run it on your candidate, at the same length.
- Compare hands, faces and feet. Those are where character animation breaks first.
- Check the export for a watermark and its resolution before trusting the free tier.
Whichever wins on your hardest clip wins, because the easy clips look fine on every tool and tell you nothing, while a fast spin, a hand passing in front of the face or a jump that leaves the floor is exactly where cheaper models smear limbs, swap left and right hands or lose the character's face for a few frames. A tool that nails a simple wave and mangles a spin is the wrong tool for dance content.

What would change these picks
- Viggle changes its free plan. A free tier without the watermark would end most reasons to switch.
- Wan-Animate-2 ships open weights. If the successor arrives under the same licence as Wan2.2-Animate, multi-character local animation becomes free, and our open-source pick upgrades.
- DomoAI drops unlimited relaxed generations. That plan is the core of its case against Viggle.
- Kling publishes a character-swap mode with clear pricing. Going direct would then beat paying Viggle as a middleman.
We will re-check these plans in January 2027, when most of these apps reset their pricing for the new year.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free alternative to Viggle AI?
Yes. Wan2.2-Animate is an open-source model under the Apache 2.0 licence that does both character animation and character replacement, with no watermark or daily cap. It needs a capable graphics card and some setup, or you can try it in the browser on the Wan website.
Is there a Viggle alternative with no watermark?
Every paid plan we compared removes the watermark, including DomoAI from $9 a month and Runway from $12 a month on yearly billing. Viggle's own Pro plan also removes it for $7.99 a month billed yearly, which is the cheapest hosted option.
What is the open-source alternative to Viggle?
Wan2.2-Animate-14B, released by Alibaba's Wan team in September 2025 with weights on Hugging Face and a ComfyUI integration. Its animation mode makes a character copy a reference video, and its replacement mode swaps the character into that video.
Does Viggle use other AI models?
Yes. Viggle's pricing page lists Seedance, Kling, Veo, Wan and other models, with Seedance limited to its Live and Max plans. Part of a Viggle subscription is access to models you could also use directly.
Is Viggle AI worth paying for?
If you only want to remove the watermark, Viggle Pro is cheaper than any hosted alternative we found. It also offers Real-Time Swap for live streams and PINOC for rigged 3D characters, which the alternatives do not.
