Higgsfield is built by Higgsfield Inc., a San Francisco company founded in 2023 by Alex Mashrabov, a former Snap executive, and opened to the public in 2025. The clearest fit is short-form marketing and social content produced on a weekly cadence. A performance marketer can turn a product page into a batch of ad variations, a creator can keep the same on-screen character across dozens of clips, and a small agency can pool credits across a team workspace. It is a weaker choice for long-form editing, where a timeline editor does more of the work than any single generation.
Developers and agent users are unusually well served for a creative app. The same catalog is reachable through the Higgsfield API, a hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that Claude and other MCP clients sign in to with OAuth, an open-source command-line tool that runs inside Claude Code or Cursor, and a ChatGPT plugin, so a coding agent can generate assets without anyone opening the website.
