Dots Desk

An always-on OpenAI agent that owns one recurring job and reports in Slack or Teams.

Beginner build · Personal agents · 8 parts · Running cost: No listed price

OpenAI's Dots are always-on agents with their own cloud computer and browser. Nothing here is assembled: you pick the plan, the channel it reports in, the apps it may touch and the first job it owns, then correct it until it runs the job the way you would.

Bundle. One product, one subscription. The brain, the hosting and the app connectors are fixed — quick to start, nothing to swap.

One Dot that owns a recurring job — watching customer feedback, chasing invoices, keeping launch materials current — and messages you in ChatGPT, Slack or Teams only when it needs a decision.

Needs: ChatGPT Pro or Business Premium (first Dot included); Enterprise in an admin-enabled beta.

Where it is not available: Pro plans in the EEA, Switzerland and the UK cannot create a Dot yet. Business Premium and Enterprise are not region-gated.

First-run setup: about 15 minutes.

What drives the cost: The Dot rides on the plan and its own usage is included to start. Apps connect through ChatGPT plugins at no extra charge, but each app's own subscription (HubSpot, Notion) stays yours.

Run this build

Start the build and it becomes a checklist: for each part, mark the one you already have, pick an alternative of a kind the slot takes, or compare the options side by side; for a plan, a channel or a policy, choose one of the options. Every part you confirm goes onto your stack, and the build is complete when every required part is filled.
