Topview lists 5000+ public avatars and a model library spanning Seedance, Wan, MiniMax H3, Kling and Google Veo. Its AI video agent plans scenes from a script or product URL, generates the assets and keeps each shot editable on a Canvas, while a plugin and MCP server connect it to ChatGPT, Codex and Claude.
About Topview
Topview is an AI video agent from TOPVIEW PTE. LTD., a Singapore company that launched the product in 2024 and was co-founded by Jensen Wu, its chief executive, and Albert Chen. Kamet Capital led an $8.5M Series A announced on August 5, 2025, and the company says its enterprise clients include L'Oréal, ANTA and Anker. You describe an idea or paste a script, a reference video or a product URL, and the agent plans scenes, picks a model for each shot, generates the assets and leaves every shot editable on a Canvas.
The workspace around the agent has four more parts: Drama Studio for micro-dramas and vertical series, Board for organizing outputs across models, a 3D Shot Composer for staging camera angles before credits are spent, and an avatar toolkit with public presenters, product avatars, voice cloning and lip sync. Generation runs on third-party models, including Seedance from ByteDance, Wan, H3 from MiniMax, Kling, Veo and image models such as Nano Banana from Google, all drawn from one credit balance.
Outside the browser, an assistant such as Codex or Claude can create and edit work on the same account through a plugin, the MCP server or the REST API. Typical users are ecommerce and direct-to-consumer brands making product ads, performance marketers testing variants, and micro-drama teams. Output is billed in credits that vary by model and resolution, so the cost of a clip depends on which model each shot uses.
Rivals split by which models they offer and how they price. Higgsfield bundles third-party models with a free account, HeyGen focuses on talking presenters, Runway ships its own Gen-4.5 model and Creatify turns product pages into ads. Arcads and MakeUGC sell talking-actor UGC ads. HokAI files them under AI video generators, and the guides Best AI Video Generators in 2026, Wan 3.0 vs Seedance 2.5 and Higgsfield Alternatives in 2026 cover the field and two of the models its homepage leads with, while Is Seedance 2.5 Free? covers the trial route. Teams that want an assistant to drive the tool can also browse the function-calling tools list.

Key Features
- Video Agent: Turns an idea, script, reference video or product URL into a scene plan, picks a model for each shot and generates the assets, then leaves every shot editable on Canvas.
- Canvas and Board: Canvas is a free-form workspace where the agent proposes scenes and keeps characters, voice and visual identity consistent across multi-shot videos, while Board holds image, video, audio and avatar models with outputs organized for comparison.
- Drama Studio: Builds micro-dramas, vertical dramas and short series from a novel, script or plot, with consistent characters, scenes and sound across episodes.
- Avatars and voice: Offers public avatars, saved Product Avatars made from your own photo, voice cloning with 60 free clones on Ultra, and lip sync for videos up to 30 minutes or 24000 words.
- 3D Shot Composer: Places characters and props in a 3D scene so you can move the virtual camera and preview angles before spending credits.
- Model library: Runs Seedance 2.5 and 2.0, Wan 3.0, MiniMax H3, Kling 2.6 and O1, Google Veo 3.1 Fast, plus image models such as Nano Banana, GPT Image 2.5 and Seedream 5.0, from one credit balance.
- Agent connectors: Exposes a ChatGPT plugin, an MCP server for Codex, Claude and Cursor, a Skill and a REST API, and the MCP can pull TikTok, YouTube, Amazon and Shopee signals into a campaign plan.
- Team workspace: Team plans add real-time co-editing of the canvas and storyline, a shared asset library with Brand Kit, seat management and credit usage controls.
Pros
- One workspace covers script, avatar, voice, video and editing, so a marketer does not have to stitch an avatar tool, a model site and an editor together; the vendor says every shot stays editable after generation.
- Switching models needs no new subscription because Seedance, Wan, MiniMax, Kling, Veo and the image models all draw on one balance, which suits teams that test a clip on a cheap model before paying for a premium one.
- On annual Ultra, 500 monthly credits buy about 416 seconds of Seedance at 720p by the vendor's own count, roughly $0.12 a second at $50 a month, which is the lowest per-second price among the displayed annual plans.
- Assistants can drive it directly: a ChatGPT plugin, an MCP server and a Skill let Codex or Claude start a job on the same account without a separate integration project.
Cons
- No free plan appears on the pricing page, so the cheapest way in is the monthly Basic plan, and the discount badges on each card are promotional prices rather than list prices.
- Unlimited is a time-boxed, queue-based allowance covering selected models for anywhere from a week to a year. The vendor says it is credit-free access and not priority speed, and some Trustpilot reviewers report long Unlimited queues.
- By default the Terms let Topview use non-Enterprise customers' content and output to train its models, with an opt-out by email to support@topview.ai; the no-training commitment applies to Enterprise agreements.
- Credits do not roll over on monthly plans, and remaining credits are forfeited without a refund when an account is closed, so a quiet month wastes the allowance.
- Ultra and Team plan credits cannot pay for API calls, and Unlimited generations do not run through the API or MCP, so automation needs Basic, Plus or Business or an Enterprise deal.
- Review sites disagree: Trustpilot averages 3.9 out of 5 across 305 reviews, well below the 4.8 on G2, which rests on only six reviews.
Data Handling
- Training-data policy
- Content and output from non-Enterprise accounts may train Topview's models unless the user opts out through support@topview.ai. Enterprise Agreements are excluded from training.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Topview cost once you count credits?
Credits set the real price. By the vendor's own rates, Basic's monthly credits cover about 33 seconds of Seedance at 720p, Plus about 66 seconds, and annual Ultra about 416 seconds. That puts a 30-second clip near $7 on monthly Basic and near $3.60 on annual Ultra, the vendor's stated rate. The vendor markets Wan as near-Seedance quality at 30% of the price, so cheaper models stretch the same credits much further.
Is Topview free, and what do the free generations cover?
The pricing page lists no free plan, and its cheapest card is the monthly Basic plan. Third-party directories describe a small one-time credit grant at signup (one lists 10 credits), which the vendor does not publish, so confirm it when you register. The plugin's offer of free Wan, MiniMax H3 and GPT Image generations is limited to Plus subscribers and above, so it is a bonus, not a free tier.
Which video tools should you compare Topview with?
[Higgsfield](/hub/tools/higgsfield) suits a creator who wants a free account and one credit balance across third-party models. [HeyGen](/hub/tools/heygen) suits talking-presenter and translation videos, with a free watermarked plan. [Runway](/hub/tools/runway) suits filmmakers who want its own video model and a free 125-credit start, and [Creatify](/hub/tools/creatify) suits URL-to-video ads with a small free monthly allowance.
How does Topview differ from Higgsfield?
Both put third-party video models behind one credit balance and add an agent layer. Topview adds Canvas editing, Drama Studio, and avatars with voice cloning, plus time-boxed Unlimited windows on selected models, but it lists no free plan. Higgsfield lists a free account and a $9 Basic plan, with Cinema Studio camera control and Soul ID character training. Pick Topview for avatar-led ads and micro-dramas, and Higgsfield for testing models on a free account first.
How do you start a first video in Topview?
Sign up at topview.ai, then describe the idea or paste a script, reference video or product URL into the Video Agent, which plans the scenes and lands them on a Canvas you can edit shot by shot. To drive it from an assistant instead, add the Topview plugin in ChatGPT or point Codex, Claude or Cursor at the MCP server and sign in with your Topview login.
