MakeUGC is an AI video ad studio, run from the UK, that turns a script, prompt or product page into talking-actor UGC ads, product-in-hand shots and cinematic clips. The vendor says more than 10,000 brands and agencies use it. It runs in the browser, with a REST API and an MCP server for agent clients.

About MakeUGC

The product sells creator-style video ads made by AI, aimed at brands that want talking-head clips without hiring creators. Its terms of service name Cinnamon Technology Limited, a UK company incorporated on 14 December 2023, as the operator, while the privacy and trial policies name a second UK company, Make Media Limited. The homepage says it powers more than 10,000 brands and agencies, a figure the vendor does not source. No founders or funding round turned up in public filings or search results, so none are listed here.

You start from a prompt, a product URL, a reference ad or an actor from the library, write or paste a script, and the studio renders the clip. An in-browser editor then adds captions, music and B-roll before export. Talking-actor clips come from its own Make 1.0 model. Beyond that MakeUGC resells other labs' models from the same credit pool: video from ByteDance's Seedance 2.5, Google DeepMind's Veo 3.1, Kuaishou's Kling, xAI's Grok and MiniMax, and images from OpenAI's GPT Image 2 and Black Forest Labs' Flux 2 Pro.

The use case is paid-social testing. Content Library lets you browse existing ad formats by niche and style and rebuild one around your product and script, Product in Hand puts your product in an actor's hands, and Batch Mode renders ten variations of a brief at once. That fits performance marketers, DTC brand owners and agencies more than long presenter videos, a job closer to what HeyGen sells and to the training focus of Synthesia. We have not run MakeUGC's product-in-hand output ourselves, so treat the realism claims as the vendor's.

Among direct alternatives, talking-actor hook variants point to Arcads first, and free-plan seekers selling physical goods can try Creatify before paying. Low-cost model bundles are a Higgsfield specialty. The wider field sits in the AI video generators directory, and our guide to picking an AI video generator explains how to choose by job. Read the billing terms before paying even the trial price, because the cancellation and renewal rules matter more here than the feature list.

Pricing

ai/pricing and the plan pages on 11 October 2026. Starter, Growth and Pro bill monthly, quarterly or yearly, with the yearly rate 51% below monthly on Starter and Growth and 47% below on Pro; Enterprise is quoted by sales. Every plan opens with a $1 trial that renews at the plan price unless cancelled, and the checkout shows how long the trial lasts.

API and MCP access carry no extra fee. For a lower starting price, see Creatify or Higgsfield.

Key Features

  • Talking actors in 50+ languages: Choose from 1,000+ AI actors on Pro (300+ on Starter, 500+ on Growth) and render scripts in 50+ languages with matching lip sync.
  • Product in Hand: Upload a product image or paste a URL, pick the clearest frame, and an actor holds the product while reading your lines.
  • Content Library and Ad Remake: Browse existing UGC ad formats filtered by niche, style and format, then remake one with your own product image and dialogue.
  • Custom avatars and gestures: Growth includes 1 custom avatar built from a short clip of you and Pro includes 3, while Motion Control and Gestures transfer a recorded performance or direct body language.
  • Multi-model studio: One credit balance covers the Make 1.0 talking-actor model plus Seedance 2.5, Veo 3.1, Kling 4.0, Grok, MiniMax, WAN 2.6 and Pixverse v5.5 for video, and Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2 and Flux 2 Pro for images.
  • Batch Mode and AI Workflows: Batch Mode renders 10 variations at once, and the node-based AI Workflows canvas chains prompts, actors and models, with a Flows API to rerun a saved workflow in one call.
  • API and MCP server: REST endpoints cover talking-actor video, job status, avatars, voices, custom avatars, product-in-hand and Content Library remake, and an MCP server at mcp.makeugc.ai connects Claude with an API key.

Pros

  • Plan prices and credit allowances are published without a login, unlike Arcads, whose plans sat behind a sign-up paywall when we checked on 9 October 2026.
  • Developer access is bundled into every plan and draws on the studio credits, so an ad pipeline needs no separate developer contract.
  • The entry plan costs about half of the Starter price reviewers report for Arcads, though the two credit systems are not directly comparable.
  • Reselling many labs' models from one pool lets a team try a newly released model without opening another vendor account.

Cons

  • Recent Trustpilot reviews (October 2026) describe the trial turning into repeat charges: one user says a $1 payment was followed by a charge every three days, another calls the auto-renewal system fraudulent and says they have proof of cancelling a $150 plan, and a third says an advertised 30-day offer became a 3-day trial at checkout. MakeUGC's public replies ask reviewers to submit account details through a form.
  • Trustpilot shows no score for the company, saying the rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines, and we found no G2 or Capterra profile, so there is no independent rating to lean on (checked 11 October 2026).
  • The privacy policy (effective 11 July 2025) lets inputs such as scripts and prompts be used to train future models by default; you opt out by emailing help@makeugc.ai, and the policy warns that opting out may reduce personalization.
  • Credits do not roll over, Starter exports stop at 480p and 720p with one video and one image rendering at a time, and the cost of each generation depends on model, duration and resolution, so heavy testing needs Growth or above.
  • The legal entity differs between documents (Cinnamon Technology Limited in the terms, Make Media Limited in the privacy and trial policies), so confirm which entity invoices you before a procurement review.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does MakeUGC cost in 2026?

MakeUGC sells three self-serve plans and a custom Enterprise tier. On monthly billing Starter is $59 for 500 credits, Growth is $79 for 1,000 and Pro is $149 for 2,000 to 5,000; annual billing lowers those to $29, $39 and $79 a month, and quarterly billing saves up to 31%. Credits refresh each month and expire unused, and every generation spends credits by model, duration and resolution, so the cost per ad varies with what you pick.

Does MakeUGC have a free plan?

No. The cheapest way in is a $1 trial on any plan, which renews at the full plan price unless you cancel, and the checkout page shows the trial length. The trial policy allows one trial per person or company, and MakeUGC reserves the right to charge a full month at once if it detects multiple trial accounts. You can cancel in account settings to stop the next renewal, but payments are otherwise non-refundable except where the law requires.

Which tools compete with MakeUGC in 2026?

For talking-actor hook tests the nearest match is [Arcads](/hub/tools/arcads), which publishes no pricing page. Sellers of physical products who want a free plan with watermarked exports should look at [Creatify](/hub/tools/creatify) first. Long presenter videos and localization point to [HeyGen](/hub/tools/heygen), while short clips from many models at a lower entry price are Higgsfield territory.

What separates MakeUGC from Arcads?

Mostly pricing transparency and the product-in-hand job. MakeUGC publishes its plan prices, while Arcads showed no public pricing page on 9 October 2026 and reviewers there report a Starter plan at nearly twice MakeUGC's entry price. MakeUGC markets Product in Hand as a headline feature, whereas reviewers call that scenario the weakest spot at Arcads; we have tested neither. Arcads also has a visible Trustpilot score (2.6 out of 5 on 9 October 2026), which MakeUGC's page does not.

How do you get started with MakeUGC?

Sign up at app.makeugc.ai, pick a plan to begin the trial, then choose an actor or start from a prompt, a product URL or a reference ad. Paste or generate a script, add a product photo if you want Product in Hand, and render; the vendor says a clip takes about two minutes. For automation, create a key under Settings, API Integration, and connect the MCP server at mcp.makeugc.ai while your subscription is active. Put a cancellation reminder in your calendar on day one.
