Troubleshooting Smart Match
No Results Returned
Be more specific — "AI for coding" is often too broad. Try adding your budget, role, and specific use case. Something like "AI for code completion, solo developer, $50/month" works much better.
Check your connection — Smart Match needs a working internet connection. Refresh the page and try again.
Start a new session — If something's gone wrong mid-session, click New Session and start fresh with clearer context.
Results That Don't Fit
Add more context — Budget, team size, and preferences all shape the output. The more Hok knows about your situation, the more accurate the results.
Use the option chips — When Hok offers clickable options (like budget tiers), use them. They're faster and give clearer input than typing free-form answers.
Rephrase and retry — Small changes in how you describe your needs can meaningfully change what comes back. If the first session missed the mark, try a different angle.
Session Errors or Timeouts
Refresh and retry — If the page errors or hangs, refresh your browser and start a new session.
Check your connection — An unstable connection can interrupt sessions.
Keep replies concise — Very long messages can hit limits. Shorter, focused answers tend to work better.
Tools That Clearly Don't Fit
If a recommended tool obviously doesn't match what you asked for, email info@hokai.io. Include your session context and the tool name. We use this feedback to improve results.
