Stack Versioning
Your stack won't look the same in six months. Tools get added, others get cut, pricing changes, better options appear. Knowing what you had and why you changed it is worth tracking — especially for teams, consultants, or anyone who needs to justify AI spend.
What HokAI Tracks
My Stack shows your current tools. When you add or remove something, the change is recorded on our side. Smart Match sessions are also stored, so you can retrace what was recommended at a given point.
What You Should Track Yourself
HokAI doesn't have a formal version history UI yet. For anything you need to keep long-term — a quarterly snapshot, an audit trail for compliance, a client handover document — export your stack and save it externally.
A few practices that make this easier:
- Export at regular intervals. Monthly or quarterly. Paste into a dated document.
- Note why you made changes. When you swap a tool out, write down the reason — cost, capability, a better alternative. Your future self will appreciate it, and so will anyone who inherits your setup.
- Keep Smart Match outputs. When you run a session, copy the Strategy Brief and stack before starting a new one. It's a record of what was recommended and why.
