Ratings & Trust Signals

HokAI surfaces a few signals to help you evaluate whether a tool is worth your time and money. Here's what they mean.

What We Show

Health score — Appears in My Stack. Reflects how well-maintained a tool is: whether its information is current, whether it's actively developed, and how it integrates with other tools. A low score doesn't necessarily mean the tool is bad — it may just mean our data on it is thin.

Compliance badges — SOC 2, SOC 2 Type II, EU AI Act compliance. These appear on tool profiles when the vendor has the relevant certifications. Filter by compliance in the directory to find tools that meet your requirements.

Pricing transparency — We treat clear, published pricing as a positive signal. A tool with published tiers is easier to evaluate than one that says "contact us for pricing" at every level.

Data freshness — Tool profiles show when information was last verified. Our automated scans run daily, but some fields update less frequently than others.

What We Don't Do

We don't boost tools because they pay us. Rankings, recommendations, and search results are based on fit and merit. A tool doesn't move up the list because someone paid for placement.

How to Use This

Check compliance badges if you're in a regulated industry or handling sensitive data. Use the health score as a rough signal of maintenance status when comparing tools in My Stack. Treat clear published pricing as a baseline expectation.

These are inputs to your evaluation, not verdicts. Use them alongside your own testing.
